Valley Residents use any excuse to get together and have some fun. There is a staggering variety of festivals and special events happening throughout the year, especially in the summer.

April – October Comox Valley Farmers Market
Come experience the great tastes of the market at the Exhibition Fairgrounds on Headquarters Rd. in Courtenay. Every Saturday 9:00am to 12:00pm. Call (250) 337-8479 for more information or if you are interested in selling your goodies.
April – June Summer Fossil Tours
Every Saturday and Sunday during the months of April, May and June. Tour includes introduction at the Courtenay Museum and Field Trip to riverside fossil formations. To reserve call the museum at 334-0686.
May 19-21 Woodland Gardens Art in Bloom Festival
A fine art show designed to emphasize original works of art in a 24 acre garden that has been created to enhance the natural habitat. At Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens. Call 338-6901 or check out http://www.woodlandgardens.ca/ for details.
May 25-27 Painter’s at Painters Celebration of Art
Our annual celebration of local artists with many of British Columbia's finest artists in attendance. Watch the masters at work, attend lectures, demonstrations, workshops and panel discussions, and view an impressive collection of art in our exhibits. Weekend and day passes are available.
June 9-11 CR Garden Tour – Take a self-guided tour of an array of Campbell River gardens. Most gardens host artists at work creating art. Contact the Art Gallery at 250-287-2261 for more information.
